Made with everyday pantry staples, these cinnamon-baked apple slices are a delicious and healthy dessert option that can also be used as a topping for breakfast waffles. This recipe is easy to make and only requires a few ingredients, making it perfect for busy weeknights or when you’re craving something sweet. No pie crust needed!

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 56 large apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease baking dish or cast iron pan
  2. Peel and core apples and cut them into thin ¼ inch slices.
  3. Combine apples, brown sugar, white sugar, cornstarch, butter, lemon juice, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Mix until the apples are completely coated.
  4. Layer apple slices in your baking dish until completely filled.
  5. Scatter slices of butter across the top of the apples.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring every 10-15 minutes.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes. Serve with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Notes

  • I typically used Granny Smith, Fuji, Pink Lady, or Honeycrisp apples for baked apple slices.
