Buffalo Chicken Sliders
Are you ready for a game-changing snack that will score big at your next football gathering? You have to try this recipe for delicious Buffalo chicken sliders.
These tasty sliders perfectly blend the tangy kick of Buffalo sauce with juicy shredded chicken, all sandwiched inside sweet King’s Hawaiian rolls. Not only that, but these will satisfy your love for buffalo wings without needing a wet nap for your face and hands. Perfect for a game-day party, these Buffalo chicken sliders would also be perfect for any old Saturday.
These sliders take the essence of the classic Buffalo wing and transform it into a tasty, easily shareable treat. The appeal is in the legendary sauce, which is delicious despite being infamously messy. Buffalo sauce originated at Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, where Teressa Bellissimo first concocted it in 1964. Since then, the sauce (or variations of the original, at least) has made its way into countless dishes and snacks like these sliders.
These Buffalo chicken sliders combine the heated sauce, cool creamy ranch dressing, the savory chicken, and two different melted cheeses. The pillowy Hawaiin roll lends just the right amount of sweetness and substantial texture to hold it all together. If you’re feeding a crew, make plenty; folks will come back for seconds and thirds.
What to serve with Buffalo chicken sliders
Depending on the occasion, you have lots of options for what to serve with these Buffalo sliders.
Much like with Buffalo wings, these flavors also go well with crispy celery sticks and carrot sticks. Add some refreshing blue cheese or ranch dip to balance the heat. You can serve them as a side with a meal or arrange them on a tray for a party presentation.
At home, serve these sliders as you would a burger, adding a side of crunch with crispy french fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. For a healthier option, consider serving a fresh side salad or roasted veggies to add color and more nutrients to the plate. This spinach strawberry salad would really brighten things up in color and contrasting, fresh flavors. My creamy cucumber salad is another fresh option.
As for desserts, you can’t go wrong with a refreshing fruit platter or a decadent homemade fudge brownie. Or, meet in the middle with these strawberry cheesecake cookies.
And when it comes to beverages, nothing pairs better with these sliders than drinks that also scream “game day,” like an ice-cold beer or a tangy lemonade.

Frequently asked questions about Buffalo chicken sliders
Here are a few questions and answers about making Buffalo chicken sliders. If you have a question I haven’t covered, drop it in the comments. I will be happy to reply as soon as I can!
Can you freeze buffalo chicken sliders?
Yep! That convenience makes them great for whipping up in advance and pulling them out on short notice to take to a gathering – or feed a hungry family. Just assemble the sliders, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, and store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to three months.
How to reheat buffalo chicken sliders?
To reheat the frozen sliders, thaw them overnight in the fridge, then bake them at 350°F for five to 10 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted. You can keep them in the refrigerator for three to four days. If you’re in a hurry, you can use your microwave defrost settings and then transfer them to the oven for a couple of minutes to prevent sogginess.
How do I adjust the spice level in the buffalo chicken sliders?
To tone down the heat, mix the buffalo sauce with melted butter or ranch dressing. To turn up the heat, add a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the chicken mixture.
Can I substitute the Hawaiian rolls with another type of bread?
While Hawaiian rolls give these a sweet contrast to the spicy chicken filling, you can certainly use any type of slider bun or dinner roll for this recipe. Feel free to try different types of bread to find your favorite combination.
