Pumpkin Spice Latte

Few things scream “It’s fall, y’all!" than the iconic pumpkin spice latte. Can you remember a time when this seasonal trend wasn't always around? Here’s my take on a delicious, at-home pumpkin spice latte recipe that gives the coffee-shop versions a run for their money.

Espresso or coffee maker
saucepan

2 Coffee mugs

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons pumpkin purée
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1-3 Tablespoons sugar depending on your desired sweetness level
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups milk your favorite
1-2 shots espresso or ½ cup strong coffee
Whipped cream optional topping

Instructions

Add milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Mix ingredients well and heat until hot, but DO NOT boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and the espresso/coffee.
Pour into cups, top with whipped cream, if desired, and a dash of pumpkin pie spice for garnish.
Enjoy immediately while hot.
