peeled and finely chopped or grated
homemade whipped cream

Instructions
Preheat waffle iron.
Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Set aside.
Combine the milk, butter, eggs and vanilla together.
Add liquid ingredients to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
Gently fold in the chopped apples. Do not overmix.
Grease waffle maker and cook waffles according to your waffle maker’s instructions.
Remove from the waffle iron once they are golden brown.
Top with homemade whipped cream, cinnamon and maple syrup.
